Reunion Blend No. 1
241 Years In The Making
750ml
In 1785, Basil Hayden Sr. of St. Mary’s County led Maryland Catholic families to Pottinger’s Creek, near present-day Bardstown, Kentucky. The wider migration included other distiller-pioneering families such as Dant, Wathen, Mattingly, Miles and Willett. All of these families, and their descendants, would later be ingrained in American whiskey history.
Today, Tobacco Barn Distillery and Lofted Custom Spirits at Bardstown Bourbon Company celebrate that connection by blending bourbon barrels filled on the same day, each aged six years, and six hundred miles apart. Those Nelson County-born barrels would later make the return journey to St. Mary’s County. A shared birthday. A shared history. A collaboration 241 years in the making.
